Reading Update: 50%

"Mama died three years ago," Vanessa replied. "She found the fogs and cold of the winter very trying. The Doctor said she should go to a warmer climate, but it was . . . something which we could not . . . afford."

  1. I haven't voluntarily touched a Barbara Cartland title in...almost forty five years? My memories of the ones I did read consist of huge age differences, with heroines in their late teens (seventeen to nineteen) and heroes anywhere between their mid-thirties to early forties, and ellipses... almost...every...time...the...heroine...spoke.

Does that hold for this one?

The passed down Depression Era DNA just won't let me throw away these forever ago garage sale purchases without reading them 🫠
